JUNIOR RIVER RANGER PROGRAM

The Junior River Ranger Program™ is an inclusive environmental education program targeted at students in Stage 3 (Years 5 and 6). Delivered as an in-school incursion, the program offers a series of age-appropriate lessons to teach students how they can contribute, both individually and collectively, to the conservation of inland rivers.

Program Highlights

  • Interactive Lessons: Hands-on activities that make learning about looking after country fun and engaging.

  • Action-Oriented Learning: Empowers students to make a difference by equipping them with practical ideas and knowledge to protect local waterways.

  • Curriculum Alignment: Lesson plans meet NSW Stage 3 syllabus outcomes across key learning areas, including new syllabus outcomes for K-6 (2027 onwards).

How do the incursions work?

  • Duration: Sessions are one hour in duration, limited to 30 students, and conducted to fit within your school’s timetable.  

  • Cost: $150.00 per session.
