MARRAMBIDYA RIVER DREAMING    NARRANDERA NSW

Now, more than any time before, we need to come together to conserve inland rivers for future generations.

We may not be around to hear them say thank you, but they will be forever grateful

The Marrambidya (Murrumbidgee River) has been central to life for Wiradjuri people for millennia. Come on a journey to discover their intimate connection with this unique waterway and learn about the current issues that are impacting on the health of this once mighty river.

This major tributary spans almost 1600 kilometers and includes the Lowbidgee floodplain which contains the second largest redgum forest in Australia, is home to the Ramsar-listed Fivebough and Tuckerbill Swamps and supports one of the last self sustaining natural populations of Macquarie perch in the Murray-Darling Basin.
